6th Sunday of Easter

05-10-2026Weekly ReflectionFather Chris

Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

This Sunday, the Gospel gives us a simple but demanding mark of discipleship: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (Jn 14:15). Jesus does not reduce discipleship to feelings or good intentions. Love becomes concrete—lived, embodied, visible. And He promises that we will not live this alone: the Father will send the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who remains with us and within us.

5th Sunday of Easter

05-03-2026Weekly ReflectionFather Chris

Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

In this Fifth Sunday of Easter, the Gospel brings us into the intimacy of the Last Supper, where Jesus says: “Do not let your hearts be troubled … I am the way, the truth, and the life.” These are not just comforting words — they are a path of discipleship and an invitation for all of us to dive into mystagogy, into the deep mystery we have begun to live, especially to our neophytes who received the Sacraments of Initiation.

“Peace be with you.”

This is the first message of mercy: God does not come to condemn, but to restore.

Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

Today the Church proclaims the greatest truth of our faith: Christ is risen! Alleluia!

The Gospel tells us that early in the morning Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and found the stone rolled away. Peter and the beloved disciple ran to the tomb. They saw the empty tomb and they began to believe.
