Saint Rose Food Pantry

Goals and Purpose:

To help provide food for those in need in our parish and within our community.

Responsibilities:

Collect food from food box and relocate and arrange in food pantry. Also, to monitor expiration dates and keep food stock rotated.

The Saint Rose Food Pantry is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (except major holidays) from 10:00am-12:00pm. It is located behind our main sanctuary. Follow the signs posted at the sidewalk.

Pantry Needs

Here are the items that the Food Pantry needs on an ongoing basis:

  • Canned Veggies: Corn, Green Beans, Carrots, Mixed Vegetables
  • Canned Fruit: Peaches, Pears, Fruit Cocktail, Applesauce
  • Canned Tomatoes
  • Tomato Sauce, Spaghetti Sauce
  • Dry Pasta
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly
  • Canned Beans
  • Bag Beans 1#
  • Rice 1# bag
  • Canned Chicken
  • Canned Tuna
  • Mac-Cheese
  • Hamburger or Tuna Helper
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes
  • Pancake Mix, Pancake Syrup
  • Ramen Noodles
  • Canned Soup
  • Instant Oatmeal
  • Cereal

Backpack for Kids Ministry

Our Backpack Ministry provides food to public school children who come from food-insecure households. We provide a bag full of nutritious foods that they can easily slip into their backpacks. We need the following items during the school year:

  • Protein granola bars
  • Peanut butter crackers
  • Individual Ramen noodle packets (not bowls)
  • Shelf stable milk (individual serving size)
  • Hot cocoa packets
  • Peanut Butter To Go
  • Microwaveable Meal bowls (red top preferred for packing)
