A New Family

Dear Fellow disciples, peace.

The gospel narrative shows the family relationships in Jesus’ mind. His idea of family is to be intended in the context of the Kingdom.

For Him, family is not the close ones who want to stop Him thinking that He is out of His mind, but rather those who do the will of the Father. Every disciple who strives to do the will of the Father, who walks in holiness, and works in the mission of making other disciples is His mother, brothers, sisters.

They remain astounded, choked. Never have they heard such a thing.

His mother Mary is truly this family for both reasons. She is biologically His mom and also the most perfect disciple. For she strives to practice her fiat until the last consequences.

Lord Jesus, as a disciples of your kingdom, I wish to be part of your family, for I strive to do the Will of the Father. “Thy will be done!”

Una Nueva Familia

Queridos discípulos, paz.

La narrativa del evangelio muestra las relaciones familiares en la mente de Jesús. Su idea de familia debe entenderse en el contexto del Reino.

Para Él, la familia no son los allegados que quieren detenerlo pensando que no sabe lo que dice, sino los que hacen la voluntad del Padre. Todo discípulo que se esfuerza por hacer la voluntad del Padre, que camina en santidad y trabaja en la misión de hacer otros discípulos es Su madre, hermanos y hermanas.

Se quedan estupefactos, mudos. Nunca habían oído tal cosa.

Su madre María es verdaderamente esta familia por ambas razones. Ella es biológicamente Su madre y también la discípula más perfecta. Porque ella se esfuerza por hacer la voluntad de Dios (fiat) hasta las últimas consecuencias.

Señor Jesús, como discípulo de tu reino, deseo ser parte de tu familia, porque me esfuerzo por hacer la Voluntad del Padre. “¡Hágase tu voluntad!”
