Lenten Parish Mission

Saint Rose of Lima Parish Mission will be presented by Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM on Mar 16-19.

Confession will be available each evening from 5:30-6:30pm. The Mission hour will be from 7:00-8:00pm and includes Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, followed by Fr. Wade's presentation, and ends with Benediction (Mon-Wed ONLY).

Mon, Mar 16: The Eucharist as Foreshadowed in both the Old and New Testaments

Tue, Mar 17: The Church Fathers on Eucharistic Doctrine

Wed, Mar 18: Rekindling Eucharistic Amazement - The Saints and the Eucharist

Thu, Mar 19: The Most Blessed of the Seven Sacraments 

On Thu, Mar 19 the Mission hour (7:00-8:00pm) will be a solemn closing Holy Mass, with extended homily.

Plenary indulgence is available for those who attend all four days of the Mission, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Confessions will be heard each evening (Monday through Wednesday ONLY) from 8:15-10:00pm.

A brief reception will follow the end of the Mission on Thu, Mar 19 in the Jo Call Room.

About Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM

Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM, is a member of the Fathers of Mercy, a missionary preaching religious congregation of Pontifical Rite based in Auburn, Kentucky. He has served as assistant general and as director of vocations and director of seminarians for the Fathers of Mercy.

He has also served as the chaplain-in-residence at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, Alabama. Both the Shrine and Monastery area-affiliated with EWTN, the Eternal Word Television Network. As an itinerant preacher for the Fathers of Mercy, Fr. Wade has preached throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. He has produced and hosted numerous televised and online series for EWTN including the Gospel of Life vs. the Culture of Death and The Ten Commandments of Catholic Family Life.

He is also the author of four books including: Catholic Essentials: A Guide to Understanding Key Church Teachings, and Stand Firm, Be Strong: A Men’s Catholic Daily Devotional of Scripture and Saints, available from EWTN Publishing and Sophia Institute Press. Fr. Wade is also the host of EWTN Global Catholic Radio’s Open Line Tuesday.
