Happy Easter!

04-05-2026Weekly ReflectionFather Chris

Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

Today the Church proclaims the greatest truth of our faith: Christ is risen! Alleluia!

The Gospel tells us that early in the morning Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and found the stone rolled away. Peter and the beloved disciple ran to the tomb. They saw the empty tomb and they began to believe.

Easter begins with this discovery: the tomb is empty because Jesus is truly alive.

For disciples, this changes everything. If Christ is risen, then death does not have the last word. Sin does not have the last word. Darkness does not have the last word. The Resurrection tells us that God’s love is stronger than the Cross.

The beloved disciple saw and believed. That is the path of discipleship: to recognize the signs of the Risen Lord and to believe even when we do not yet see everything clearly.

As disciples of Jesus, we are also sent to bring the light of the Resurrection to others — to our families, our communities, and especially to those who feel that they are still in the darkness of the tomb.

Today, with great joy, I want to wish all of you a blessed and holy Easter. May the Risen Christ fill your hearts with peace, renew your faith, and bring hope to your families.

And may we live as true disciples of the Risen Lord, proclaiming not only with our words but with our lives ...

Christ is risen! He is truly risen! Alleluia!

God Bless.

Father Chris
