Beginning a New Chapter

Dear people of God in the Parish and School of Saint Rose of Lima, 

Peace and all of God’s blessings. 

It is with a sense of wonder that I, along with Frs. Cyriac and Javier, start the new chapter of my ministry as a priest and pastor, and also this new chapel of my discipleship following Jesus in His Church. Our hope and prayer is that we may assist and accompany Saint Rose of Lima’s community (Church and School) as we continue to grow, strive and prosper in faithfulness, holiness, and unity as true disciples of Jesus in His Church. 

Today, June 29th will be my first real day in Murfreesboro. When I accepted the new assignment I had already scheduled a family trip overseas. Fr. Javier also will be moving in today. Fr. Cyriac will join us in August due to a need for help in another parish. 

Along with the deacons, the church and school leadership, our staff, and lay ministers, we’ll work as hard as possible to achieve the parish goals and continue the work of creating a community marked by unity and discipleship, work started by my predecessors. I’m very grateful to Fr. John Sims Baker for his assistance and graciousness during this time of transition. We’ll continue to admire and pray for him as he pursues this new endeavor in his vocation. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you and start learning faces and names soon. 

I want to ask your prayers for the three of us, that we may serve and lead you in holiness, truth, and love.

Querido pueblo de Dios en la Parroquia y Colegio de Santa Rosa de Lima,

Paz y todas las bendiciones de Dios.

Es con una sensación de admiración que yo, junto con los padres Cyriac y Javier, iniciemos el nuevo capítulo de mi ministerio como sacerdote y pastor, y también este nuevo capítulo de mi discipulado siguiendo a Jesús en Su Iglesia. Nuestra esperanza y oración es que podamos asistir y acompañar a la comunidad de Santa Rosa de Lima (Iglesia y Escuela) mientras continuamos creciendo, esforzándonos y prosperando en fidelidad, santidad y unidad como verdaderos discípulos de Jesús en Su Iglesia.

Hoy, 29 de junio, será mi primer día real en Murfreesboro. Cuando acepté la nueva asignación, ya había programado un viaje familiar al extranjero. Padre Javier también se mudará hoy. Padre Cyriac se unirá a nosotros en agosto debido a la necesidad de ayuda en otra parroquia.

Junto con los diáconos, el liderazgo de la iglesia y la escuela, nuestro personal y los ministros laicos, trabajaremos lo más duro posible para lograr las metas parroquiales y continuar el trabajo de crear una comunidad marcada por la unidad y el discipulado, trabajo iniciado por mis predecesores. Estoy muy agradecido con el P. John Sims Baker por su ayuda y gentileza durante este tiempo de transición. Continuaremos admirándolo y orando por él mientras persigue este nuevo esfuerzo en su vocación. Espero verlos a todos y comenzar a conocer caras y nombres pronto.

Quiero pedir sus oraciones por nosotros tres, para que podamos servirles y guiarlos en la santidad, la verdad y el amor.
