Flexibility

Thanks to everyone for so much flexibility last week. I confess that it was a pretty overwhelming few days with many distractions for me. I thank you for your prayers. Some things just had to give way. I think that we need to be prepared for sudden changes and cancellations, even though I do not prefer to operate in that way.

Please remember that the bishop's dispensation is in effect until the end of June so that even if you missed a Mass because it was cancelled, you were not under obligation to attend Mass.

I wish I knew a more reliable way for us to operate in these days, but I don't. We will continue to communicate through as many channels as we can. I appreciate your fidelity and cooperation!

All that being said, the First Communions are a real joy! The Church is alive. We continue also with celebrations of weddings and baptisms -- all the things that show the life of the Church as the Body of Christ!

Flexibilidad

Gracias a todos por tanta flexibilidad la semana pasada. Confieso que fueron unos días bastante abrumadores con muchas distracciones para mí. Les agradezco sus oraciones. Algunas cosas simplemente tuvieron que ceder. Creo que debemos estar preparados para cambios y cancelaciones repentinas, aunque no quisiera operar de esa manera.

Recuerde que la dispensación del obispo está vigente hasta finales de junio, de modo que incluso si se perdió una Misa porque se canceló, no estaba obligado a asistir a la Misa.

Ojalá supiera una forma más confiable de operar en estos días, pero no la sé. Seguiremos comunicándonos a través de tantos canales como podamos. ¡Agradezco su fidelidad y cooperación!

Dicho todo esto, ¡las primeras comuniones son una verdadera alegría! La iglesia está viva. Continuamos también con celebraciones de bodas y bautizos, ¡todas las cosas que muestran la vida de la Iglesia como el Cuerpo de Cristo!
