Welcome to Saint Rose of Lima

Dear friends in Christ,

Welcome to the parish website for Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Saint Rose is a vibrant Catholic parish with over 2,000 registered families and a great preschool and school, thus serving the spiritual growth of people of all ages. Our purpose is to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, and to proclaim his love to the world.

We hope that this website serves as a valuable resource for you to inform you of the many wonderful aspects of our life of faith here at Saint Rose. Before we dive into the individual Eucharistic Prayers, I want to look at the middle portion that all of them have in common, the institution narrative, the consecration when the bread and wine truly become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.

From there, the Canon proceeds into the Institution Narrative and the Consecration. Nicholas Gihr, in his book The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, poetically describes this moment of the Mass:
