I have lived in Tennessee since 1989 when I moved here from Binghamton, NY to attend college. I converted to the wholeness of the Catholic Faith in 1995. Since that time, by the grace of God, I have served in many capacities at the Parish and Community. I have served as PRE and Adult Ed Catechist, Parish Council (former Chairperson at St. Ignatius of Antioch), Growing in Faith For Tomorrow Chairperson, Eucharistic Minister, Liturgical Minister, Parish Maintenance, etc. I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years and have served in multiple offices at the Council and State level. I currently serve as the District Marshal of the 4th Degree for the Tennessee District Master. At the community level I have been an elected officer with the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security, currently serve as Vice-President of the Board for the International Enforcement Agency, participated in Campus Community Crime Stoppers, Rotary and MNPD CompStat.
I was blessed to have married a wonderful Catholic lady, Anne, in 1998 and we have been married for 19 years. Together we were blessed with a daughter, Madeline, who is 15. My wife works in the Parish Office and my daughter is a server at Mass.
I currently work as Project Manager for a Catholic owned and operated company and am humbled to serve as President of the St. Rose Parish Council.

I have been a Catholic school educator for 19 years, serving as a teacher and an administrator at both the elementary and high school levels. I came to Saint Rose School as principal at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, and have loved getting to know the students, staff, and families in our school. Serving at Saint Rose is a great gift and grace!

Deacon John D’Amico
I was born in Brooklyn, NY and am a cradle Catholic. I went through 12 years of Catholic school and attained by B.A. and B.B.A. from Baylor University.
In early 2006, I heard a sermon about stewardship from Fr. James. It was the first time that the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart about serving Him as a member of the clergy. God blessed me to be accepted into the Diaconate Program and on June 9, 2014 I was ordained a Deacon. Since then I have served Saint Rose of Lima parishioners which has been my highest honor and privilege.
God bless you all.
I have been a member of St Rose parish since 1980. I am a wife (Larry), mother (6; 3 God allowed me to birth and 3 that God brought into our family when they married my children), and grandmother of 6. I have operated a CPA practice here in Murfreesboro for the past 36 years. During the past 36 years I have been blessed to serve as CCD teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, Parish Life Chairperson, member of Ladies Guild, member of Bereavement Meals Committee, Altar care member, Renew team facilitator, Bible Study member and service as past and present Parish Council Secretary. The blessings my family have received because of St. Rose are immeasurable and family memory time always brings a tale of something that happened at St. Rose.
I have been married to my wife Phyllis for 40 years and we have two children, Kristen Xiong and Jameson Kitzler. I am a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4563 and a 4th Degree Knight.
Julie Lee, Saint Rose Director of Finance
My family, Jeff, Jordyn and I became members of Saint Rose in 2016 after moving to Murfreesboro, and shortly after that I joined the parish staff as the Director of Finance. Through this position, I have enjoyed meeting new friends and families, and I truly enjoy working with all of the staff at the parish and school.
I have over 20 years of Accounting/Finance experience including working at Williamson County Board of Education, Pope John Paull II H.S. and Harding Academy. As Director of Finance, I hope my experience, enthusiasm and passion will be advantageous and heighten the success of Saint Rose.
My wife, Carol, family and I moved to Murfreesboro and became members of Saint Rose Parish in 1980. We have three children – Suzanne, Michelle and Jeffrey - who were all educated at public schools and MTSU since Saint Rose did not have a Catholic school at the time. We also have three grandsons.
I am a Nebraska Cornhusker, having received degrees from the University of Nebraska and the University of North Dakota. My working career began with four years in the USAF followed by 32 years in tire manufacturing with Bridgestone-Firestone Tire Company. My family and I have had the opportunity to both live in and travel to other countries in Latin America, Europe and around the world. We have learned to respect and appreciate people of other countries and cultures.
Since coming to Murfreesboro, Saint Rose has a big part of our lives. Over the years I have taught CCD, sponsored the students at MTSU, and been a member of the planning committee for the feasibility of reopening/building a new Saint Rose School.
More recently I have been involved with various church ministries including BRIDGE, Extraordinary Minister, Giving Tree, and with our sister parish in Haiti. I also tutor math to those in need at Saint Rose School, at Read to Succeed and Greenhouse Ministries. God has been good to us - having received much more than we have given over the years.
Tom Moreland received his first Eucharistic communion at the St. Rose of Lima Easter Vigil in 2013, following a period of RCIA faith formation. Before coming home to the Catholic Church, he attended Protestant chapel services during his childhood years while his father served as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force. He was baptized at First Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN while visiting his grandparents during one summer vacation.
After graduating from high school, he left home from Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan to attend college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He completed postgraduate studies at UT and served in several corporate & district office positions for 30 years with the Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation before retiring in January of 2016. His areas of work were in residential and commercial energy services. Tom & his wife Ann have lived in Murfreesboro since 1988. Their son, Daniel, is currently serving in Security Forces in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Paul Reissner, Parish Community and Outreach Committee
My wife, Terry, and I along with two of our three children, Rebecca and Jacob. moved to Rockvale in May of 1997. Upon arriving we joined Saint Rose. In 1998 we had our third child Daniel. Originally from St. Paul, MN, I was involved with my home parish music and youth ministries. A growing Saint Rose parish presented many opportunities to continue serving. As a musician and designer by trade, I joined the music ministry as well as offered my services as a designer as I was asked by then Pastor Fr. Wiatt to co-chair one of the committees to reinstate the school at Saint Rose.
Over the next several years, Terry and I became involved with the Saint Rose Giving Tree. Although my work schedule prevents me from continuing with the music ministry, I continue to work with the Giving Tree as well as provide artwork for various ministries and functions of Saint Rose Church and School. In 2010, I assisted in forming the Saint Rose Bridge Ministry. I currently work with the Bridge Ministry every Tuesday morning.
